I was fortunate enough to meet a very talented concert pianist from the United States living in Vienna who needed some new photos for his website.
He booked the Ehrbar Saal for the location – a beautiful music hall at the Konservatorium für Musik und Dramatische Kunst der Margarete Prayner and met there.
Unfortunately, when we got there, we found 2 bright spotlights which couldn’t be turned off and which ruined the lighting of the photos.
We tried moving the piano around the stage and finally managed to find some nice lighting but with the piano at an angle that would not be shown in concerts.
Eventually, I was simply so frustrated with the spotlights, I got my flash out and overpowered them with the flash for some artistic shots
