ASF Magazine Interview

I was recently contacted by ASF magazine who wanted to write a feature about me and for me to judge a competition.

Portraits of a Master

I was approached by a pianist to take some quick portraits in the studio.
He wanted something a little different, something with character.
We didn’t have so much time but we managed to take some great photos….

Freckles (NSFW)

Jamie has such a beautiful smile and stunning eyes. For this series, we took a few photos in a bedroom setting together. We tried a few different ideas out and I was really happy with the end result..

Captive (NSFW)

I was shooting with a model and after we were done with our planned shoot, she wanted some psycho photos with her partner.
I was more than happy to oblige and it was very interesting setting up the lighting.
We all had a lot of fun with the shoot but due to events at the time, I decided not to publish the photos.

Hands On Ophelia (NSFW)

We were talking with a friend and spontaneously decided to do a shoot.
As the model knew my girlfriend quite well, she got the job as the hand model.

We did not take so many photos but there were some really great shots amongst the few we did take….

A Walk Around Parliament, Volksgarten, and Burggarten

On Monday, I had the pleasure of walking around Vienna Parliament, Volksgarten, and Burggarten with the fabulous Irina Skripnik, a talented photographer from Ukraine who was on a European tour, her husband, and a lovely Ukranian couple who were living in Vienna.
We tried some new ideas out amid the lovely Vienna landmarks in the area and took some fabulous photos.

Dragonboat Racing on the Donau

A few friends were organising the Dragonboat race on Saturday and invited me along.
It was held at the Vienna City Beach Club along the Donau and the weather was beautiful.
Unfortunately, I was only there for an hour because I had to be at a party afterwards but I managed to take some lovely photos.

Quick Fashion(ish) Shoot

A model just popped by to pick up her photos and she had awesome glasses. She was in a rush but I managed to get a few photos on her walk home

Lightpainting Experiments

Here are some light painting experiments from Wednesday’s great shoot.
I played around with the processing and tried something a little different to give an almost watercolour feel to the photos.

Smoke and Shadows (NSFW)

Taken with the beautiful Carry, here are some photos I took a while ago. I used some strong lighting with a fog machine and added a little colour in post.
