I have wanted to experiment with UV paint & lighting for some time now but something always got in the way. I have had a tub of UV green paint in my makeup drawer for almost 8 years but poor quality UV lighting always held me back. I decided that it was time for a change and ordered some new UV paints and some UV tubes for my fluorescent lights. The UV paints arrived late and came the day after the shooting but the old green paint was enough for the following experiments with the fabulous Lie Be model.
I tried a few different things the post processing and I think that while the colour versions are vibrant and full of life, converting them to black and white instantly changed the feel of the photos into a form reminiscent of times lost, reaching back to the roots of photography…
